Electric hoist is a kind of light and small lifting equipment integrating electric motor, transmission mechanism, drum (or sprocket) and fetching device. It is compact, light weight, easy to operate, is the industrial and mining enterprises, warehouses, docks, workshops and other places for material lifting, hoisting, handling operations of the core tools, can greatly improve productivity and reduce labor intensity.

Core classification and technical characteristics

From a professional point of view, electric hoist can be mainly classified in the following ways, and each has its own technical characteristics:

According to the structure form points:

Wire rope electric hoist:

Characteristics: high lifting height, strong load-bearing capacity (usually 0.5 tons to 80 tons or even higher), relatively large self-weight, fast running speed.

Advantage: suitable for the need for large height, large tonnage lifting conditions, wire rope flexibility, not easy to sudden breakage.

Electric chain hoist:

Characteristics: very compact structure, light weight, economic price, slow lifting speed.

Advantage: especially suitable for use in space-constrained places (such as low plant, equipment maintenance inside), chain wear and high temperature resistance is better than wire rope.

According to the operation mode:

Fixed electric hoist: through the upper hook fixed in a position to use, single function.

Running electric hoist: the hoist itself with a trolley, can run along the I-beam track straight line or curve, greatly expanding the scope of coverage of the operation, is the most common form of installation.

According to the motor working system points:

S3 intermittent duty: This is the standard duty system and means that the motor needs to be shut down for cooling after a period of operation. It is usually expressed in terms of load duration (e.g. ED 40%), which means that the rated load runs for 40% of the time in a 10-minute cycle (i.e. 4 minutes of work and 6 minutes of rest).

S4/S5 working system: Suitable for frequent starting and braking, stronger motor performance and better heat dissipation.
